Crazy! Lincoln Invitational

The Trojans Varsity team traveled to Denver for the Lincoln Invitational Tournament. Unfortunately, Christopher lost his first match by points (2:6) and therefor was only able to take 5th place at best. Chris accomplished that by winning his remaining 4 matches. He got chop-blocked in the third match, hurting his right knee, but was able to finish the match, pinning the kid. In his 4th match he re-injured his left knee (the knee with the meniscus tear from football), but again was able to stay in the match and win by pin. Christopher, had one more match to go and somehow (after "Motrin, icing, and elevating") pulled off another pin to finish 5th (out of 27 schools). Christopher is now 27:6 for the season!... I am very proud of him for staying in the tournament with all the odds against him. That took a lot of heart...

FFCHS @ Mesa Ridge

Chris won his match by pin and is now 23:5 for the season. The Trojans won the Dual 50:15.

FMS @ Skyview

The Lady Trojans unfortunately lost this game 27:29, but Shanice had a great game, scoring 15 points!

Metro Tournament

This was the tournament for the Colorado Springs Metro title. All schools (23) from the Metro area attented. Christopher lost his Semi-final to the Doherty wrestler, who is ranked 4th in the State. That's why he could only wrestle for 3rd or 4th in the final. Rampart (ranked 16th) beat Doherty for first place. Chris met Rampart twice this season, and won both matches... FFC took 3rd in the team rankings and Coach James and Coach O'Connor won the "Coach of the year" and "Assistant Coach of the year" award. Congrats!

FMS vs. Skyview

The Lady Trojans didn't get this season off to an good start; loosing their first game 29:39. Shanice didn't even finnish the game because she was "foult out".

Christopher took 1st place in today's tournament at Pueblo South HS. He won the first two matches with pins and the championship match by points (4:2).

The Trojans took this Dual with a 49:21 win. Christopher won his match with a pin.

Pueblo East Tournament

Christopher had some very tough matches today. He won 2 with pins and lost 2 by points decision. Overall he should be very proud of himself since these were extremely hard-fought matches. This brings him to 7:2 for the season so far.

FFC vs. Rampart

The Trojans are off to a great start with a 49:18 win in their first Dual-meet of the season. Christopher won his match with a pin (his opponent is ranked 8th in the state)! Go Chris!!!

Rocky Ford Varsity Dual Tournament

Christopher had a great tournament; by winning all 4 of his matches he received a special "undefeated" trophy. Since this was a Dual tournament he didn't wrestle for individual placing, but for team placing. FFCHS placed 6th out of 12 schools. Unfortunately, Christopher hurt his knee again during the last match. Hopefully, he'll be back to wrestle on Wednesday evening.

Incline
