"Diablas" practice
Shanice has been practicing with a competitive fastpitch team called "Diablas" on Sundays for the last few weeks. She is really enjoying the challenge and will probably join them for the 2009 season.

FFCHS @ Widefield
The Trojans upset the Widefield Gladiators with a 49(!) to 6 win. Chris had to watch from the sideline, since his MRI confirmed a meniscus tear. Next week he'll see an Orthopedist to discuss the surgery (which he'll probably have after football season). Once the swelling and fluids in his knee are down, he should be able to play again next week with an knee brace.
Corinthians Red @ United Bombers
The trip to Denver was well worth it, as the girls came away with a 1:1 tie against the #2 ranked team in the league (our team is ranked #4). Shanice had an outstanding game, saving many, many goals. Go #10!

Bummer !!! - FFCHS vs. Pine Creek
Not only did the Trojans loose the game (17:0), but Chris and Eric (#70) both sustained knee injuries. Chris went to the ER but luckily the x-ray was negative for a fracture or displacement. The exam suggested a Meniscus injury and a MRI got ordered for next week. In the meantime he has to wear a "knee immobilizer" and walk on crutches. He is so frustrated. Especially, since it was an illegal hit that was not called by the refs (he was engaged in an tackle with a lineman, when a 2nd player took him out with a hit to the side of his knee...it's a shame!).

Christopher's B-day party :-)
Christopher didn't celebrate his B-day until today, due to his and Shanice's games, yesterday. We've had a great time. Among the guests were: the Stablers, Allyn-Youngs, Watembachs, Ronnie, Issac, Ricky, Lewis, Bruce, Brandon (pretty much the whole Trojan soccer team...), Charlie, Alex, and many more.

Corinthians Red @ Boulder Chaos
Even though our girls outplayed the Boulder team most of the game, we weren't able to score and had to take a loss.
We (Jamie, Malcolm, Asia, Shanice, and I) took the opportunity to check out the CU campus while being in Boulder.
